Flight
The roof was always so high. Birds just got on and jumped right off. Can I do the same? There was something majestic about flying; the gracefulness, soaring above everyone else. It was my turn to try. Why shouldn't I?
Down there, I was no one. People walked around me, I was invisible. There was no point. So why keep trying to walk, when one can fly?
Any moment now, I may slip. I want to fly, and I need to try. I start running, the wind flies through my hair. At the ledge, I plant one foot and decide to take a leap of faith. This is it.
