The Disguised Girl
The sunshine as bright as her smile,
Lighting up the day for anyone passing.
The way she walks, the way she talks,
Is just enough to catch your eye.
She never makes advances,
Always waiting for you to make the move.
You wonder if she's into you,
Never truly knowing, you go for it.
You think things really click,
But what you don't know,
Is who the hell this girl actually is.
The nights alone she spends,
Relieving the pain of everyday life.
You've never seen the scars,
That cover her from head to toe.
She walks the walk and talks the talk,
But her eyes can never lie.
You can see the sadness,
The loneliness and despair.
Never judge a book by it's cover,
You will be deceived.
Don't judge a girl by her presence,
The way she carries herself.
Because you never can know by glance,
If any of it's true.
