I want to learn to drive a stick shift, and go so far away that I stop being afraid of not wanting to come back or not being able to find my way back.

Rubbing the small blemish on the very tip
of her nose with hands dyed green by
those new Shrek fruit roll-ups, she sings
through pomegranate lips decorated
with small shards of sour cherry
flavoured Tootsie-pops, skips with thin,
pale legs, naked save for pink Hello
Kitty underwear, teases the new
dog who speaks through wrinkled
black lips under floppy Oreo McFlurry
ears; he knocks her over, her blonde
translucent hair sliding behind
her shoulders and a slobber-generous
kiss is planted on her cheek.

"Unable are the loved to die, for love is immortality" ~Emily Dickinson

"The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain"
~Kahlil Gibran

It made me so happy to read this! I can honestly say that you have one of the most unique writing styles that I have ever read on this website. I loved this poem, so good job.
