"Let the beauty we love be what we do. There are hundreds ways to kneel and kiss the ground." - Rumi

The stars streak across the celestial abyss,
Falling endlessly into the darkness,
A brief ripple tearing through the night.
The wind carries your name to my ears
In a song only I know too well.
The moon's dust falls to the silver lake,
Reverberating along the surface of my skin,
Sending chills up my spine, I shiver at your touch
Like the shadows dancing around us
In the veil of stars, the warmth of a stranger's embrace.
Oh how it all feels so new, the electricity of it all.
Every passing moment, in the silence of your touch,
Searching for words to express, it's all so surreal.
And then you whisper along my skin,
Three simple words rising to the surface
Of a torn, misguided heart; is it true?
I turn to face you and I know it is so.
I awake, drowning in the warm pools of your eyes,
Your fingers whispering sweet nothings through my hair,
And you whisk me away in your embrace.
