April is the cruelest month
May birds, sing hellos
You so sweetly stung
My heart, was yours
In the August sun
September came and
I saw your face
October bloomed
With I love you
And I questioned you
Cus that meant you knew
That’s I was fine
With your eyes on mine
Fingers wrapped in vines
And soon those words
Were more than lines
Snowflakes danced
In the November skies
Your lips danced
Till they met mine
In my eyes you shined
Too bright
And in my heart
You were always in sight
November moved
With I need you
And I questioned me
Cus that meant I knew
(In December)
That’s I was fine
(January)
With your eyes on mine
(Now February)
Our fingers wrapped in vines
(March came)
And all those words
(In the cruelest month)
Flew away
In April, love never dared to stay
