Yellow Bird
Stay and chirp o little yellow bird.
Your cuteness is divine.
I am behind glass and no song is heard.
Petit bird, you are so fine.
Feeding in the gravel at the school,
Or in the garden at my abode,
I feel myself a fool,
For not living a carefree mode.
There is grace in your very flight,
There is beauty in your song.
I find comfort in your sight,
For such grace I truly long.
We as humans adore your tininess.
This reverence is limitless.
Sing and chirp, o azure notes and white!
O agile and piercing light.
