Eternity
I can see the grasp of Eternity
Just like the ocean horizon, out at sea,
Just like my mind, thoughts swirling
Like many butterflies, unable to be caught
Just like teh universe, seen from a dusty Nantucket field,
Lying on the damp grass,
Seeing the stars like precious jewels,
Watch them fall
Fall as you slip deeply unconcious
Sleep is somehow another world.
Awaking from a dream,
You immediately know the difference.
but what of teh otherworld.
The dream painted crimson room of soul?
It is in there
That I can see the grasp of eternity.
I put my headphones in my ears
And turn the volume way up
The shattering sound I barely notice
It drowns out the world outside
I do not speak.
My lips move to the lyrics.
My entire life hangs on to that song.
And then...the song ends.
