My Love
How can I write about you love?
Compared to the flighty birds.
Never resting, never dwelling?
Or to the ground,
Always steady, up holding those who dwell?
Or as the air,
A medium between extremes.
Resting on ground,
Yet up again into the sky.
Flying with the singing restlessness,
Or whisking through the grounded grass,
So is our love.
My love,
Is it like the birds.
Always singing, always pleasing,
Though flighting and timid.
My love will never change,
Yet always is shifting.
My love,
His is the ground.
Steady and wanting,
Though the needs are wanting,
My rain among the grass is desired
And deep breaths,
Like he breaths me in every morning,
In the learning love so often halls
On the balcony.
Oh my love,
How can I tell?
And in what words?
And who would hear?
The race of my heart,
As it soars through the vast sky that I am,
Along with the bird that I am,
Finally resting on the steady ground,
Who is my love.
