Here Lies Your Lies
You're a mess wrapped in
curls
hidden by long
sleeves and headphones
digging yourself a deeper
hole with
every test you
send and when my
phone would buzz (it was
always on
vibrate) i would feel like i
needed
to trip my way
into your icy dark
wintery hole swallowing my
summer spirit
until i barely remembered
how to blow
bubbles anymore
but now
i have to
take a bow
for finding the
ladder
you hid behind your
back and i
used it to
climb back out to
Who I Used To Be and
left you
stranded
so far down that i
couldn't see your
sarcastic
smile anymore and it was
quiet for once
when i realized i
really should thank you
for not
putting up
too much of a fight when
i turned my back on
you and your
"friends"
since i figured out that
i didn't need to fill
in the rest of your
grave because you were
doing a better
job than i
ever would
but now i just
think you
should know that
my own grave
is halfway dug right next to
yours
but i stopped digging
when i got a few
blisters from
trying to be your carbon
copy and that
right there
is the difference between
Me and You
you never knew when to
stop.
