That bitter-sweet love
The love seems to fade away
And my life slowly turns to gray
All I can do is write about it
There is nothing else I can do
But watch as this connection slowly breaks
Our kiss turns to hug
Our hug turns to smile
Our smile turns to a joyless glare
Love to indifference
And on starry nights I wonder what happened to that bitter-sweet love,
Or my reflection,
Frowning back at me in a puddle.
And my life starts to decay
Until it’s nothing
And all I see astray
Is our lost bitter-sweet love
And all I can think about
Is how I want that bitter-sweet love back
