Lunch
Math: snooze
Science: long
Social studies: why me
Spanish: no hablo espanol
But then the greatest part of the day comes….Lunch. Where classroom boundaries no longer separate bff’s from each other and in that half an hour everything must be told, shared, and resolved because they will not meet again until tomorrow. People file in and then it starts. You hear no ways and omgs and gross but that not unusual. You look around and see groups. Not people or classmates but single units connected by years of long friendships and golden memories. Then the bell rings, and the groups reluctantly separate as if it is the last time they will ever be able to talk, and it is... at least until tomorrow.
