Slipping Up
Smooth feet
slipping on the drenched rope.
Sun shining
like a fluorescent light.
One foot gone.
Then the other.
Help, I shout.
then
A splash roared in my ears.
One hazel eye,
next to me.
Cold arms
swooping under my back.
Scaly like snake skin.
I am a soaring eagle,
risen back to the rope
No fuzzy towel.
Just a rope.
