What you saw in me
You saw right through me
from the very start,
you saw I needed love
to mend my broken heart,
You saw the little girl
that I had thought had died long before,
you saw my pain
eating me away to my core,
you saw I was trapped in a cage
and I couldn't get away,
you saw my ways
of keeping everyone at bay,
You saw the bruises and scars
on my little torn heart,
you saw it all
with a glimpse that small.
