Imperceptibly Impossible

i sometimes find myself
drawn to this
intangible impossibility
of imperceptible hopefulness
only to find that
the moment i grasp its
insecure, wispy existence
it wafts away
on a thin trail of
intangibly impossible
winter air
blown by the depths of my
cruel imagination.
and as i let those
intangible impossibilities
wander the pathways
of my ever-shifting desires
sometimes they
whisper away
into something hardly more
than a barely-perceptible
hopefulness
that invades my impermeable mind of
intangible impossibility
and holds me in its
feather-light caress.
