Cut to shapes
Tear drops, roll through lament
Gather the bits I missed
about how to swim
through distress and when I said
I'm going to figure it out
You never thought I'd
Cut you down
Turn you out,
Peel off scales individuality
Divulging your bare chest
Is it beating, I gasp
Does he still breath, I laugh
At death.
When flesh expanded then retracted
And collected in the pockets of skin
(I forgot to embrace),
When eyes appeared as wax
Ash drips wetted coarse lips
and it was a little to late
For one last story, to late
To secure moments missed.
And when I decide to cry
At death,
Your bits and pieces
Will be drowning.
