Inspiration
It sneaks in through your window at night,
A hidden present waiting to be opened.
It crawls inside you,
dancing inside your hed,
to music sacred and unknown.
A flash of glory,
A spark of inspiration,
A drop of rain falling down a rose,
And then like lightning
It's Gone...
But it's not to be captured,
Oh no, not to be tamed,
Or trained, or even understood.
No, it's as a bird coming and going as it pleases,
Stopping in whenever it chooses.
You must seize the moment,
Don't let it slip by!
For once it leaves
It's Gone...
