Silences made me whole,
But your words set me on fire,
And every syllable you pronounced,
Sounded like Bach,
Beethoven,
And each cadence of your breath,
Slowly killed me,
And sent me to a world of flames,
Even when your words turned to acid,
Burning away the fragile lining of my heart,
I stayed,

Because I liked it,
And without your pain,
My whole world felt,

Numb.
