"I think our favorite quotes say more about us than the people we are quoting," John Green

No phoenix tears, nor all my fears,
Could save you, dear, tonight.
The skies turn black and I turn my back
Even farther from where it was faced.
The green blade shot out and you crumple down,
To the withered body you are today.
The crowd gathers, and the water wells up in my eyes,
But the clamor of thunder overpowers my cries.
I huddle over your empty body, Ginny Weasely at my side,
I shout and scream and hope and dream
That you’ll open your eyes.
We raise our tarried wands to ye,
Dumbledore, Albus, Greatest The.

A poem about when Dumbledore died; let's just say I reacted similarly to Harry when I saw the movie.

great poem! It really captures the moment. As a poetry fanatic, I think you should try free verse, without any rhyme schemes, but in this poem there was only one part that was not flowy like the rest that was the "The skies turn black and I turn my back
Even farther from where it was faced" it just sounded wierd in the poem

This is purely amazing. I was crying uncontrolably when I read the book, every single time...reading this brought back that reaction.

I love this. It is awesome. And no you aren't the only "lunatic who has a massive breakdown when a character dies." I do too.

Thank you so much! It's nice to know I'm not the only lunatic who has massive breakdowns whenever a character dies.
