White Blanket

The flakes fall,
leaving everything covered in white.
Silently coating,
the ground in snow.
The beautiful side of a storm.
A white death,
death from above,
there are many other names.
It coats all in sight,
leaving no greenery to be seen.
All is dead,
dormant,
vacant,
frozen.
A white blanket of silence.
