I wonder

I didn't choose this,
I didn't choose my alcoholic mother,
My over-stressed and unhappy father,
And all the annoying little moments.
I didn't choose this life.
I always dwell on ideas like these.
Ideas that flood my mind
Ideas that haunt my dreams.
I always wonder what things would be like,
If everything changed,
If I could change people.
Now I say it would be better.
But what if it wasn't?
I get so upset now,
But now I think about how happy I am with the rare happy moments that come.
So I will continue to wonder.
But will do nothing
