An Angel

My wings flutter into the sky
They spread open as easily as butter
I lift them from my back
They are as light as fingers dancing on a piano
I feel my wings resting on my body as they open
The feathers are as smooth as silk
I can’t imagine anything softer than it
The sound it makes is barely audible
It’s a whisper to my heart
I’m an Angel
