feet planted
like the base of a mountain.
They dare the ones
with the dogs and guns
to move them.

their resolute faces
meshing into one spirit,
A barricade
to block the flow
of injustice and indifference.
They stand together
their song ascending
to the heavens.
Their words stretch
over the world.
They stand together
the ostracized with the free
and sing for liberty.
