Troubles Concealed
That bright and promising image dulls into something vulnerable and bleak.
The only person she fears is the one right before her eyes.
Searching for an answer or an explanation but cannot seem to find one.
Behind those bright eyes is a misunderstood, unpleasant person.
Lost, hurt, and confused she breaks down when everyone least expected it.
The front is down, there’s no hiding now.
How do you escape from the life you created for yourself?
The mirror drops, the glass shatters, she screams.
Her cry for help is stifled, silent.
Nobody can experience the way she is feeling, nobody can understand.
They glance at her but quickly look away.
Insecure and unwanted she leaves.
Running from her past, running from herself, running from that nightmare.
There’s no looking back, no hoping for the best, no nothing.
Soon enough hell will repair itself.
In a new world she will redefine who she is,
Stronger than ever no one can stop her now.
