Midnight Rain
When the sun goes down,
And the lights turn off,
Midnight rain begins to fall.
Found on no weather forecast,
Impossible to predict,
Yet it appears every night.
The sound of rocks,
Pelting the roof,
Echos across the country,
Sending chills down your spine.
The stench of death lingers,
Swirling with the sweetness of Autumn,
Creating a sickening memory.
Midnight rain never dies, it hides.
Masked by the sun, it remains,
But when the sun goes down,
And the lights turn off,
Midnight rain falls again.
