forgetting my past
It started when I was nine
Over at grandma’s house.
I was in the upstairs bed room
When you came about.
I told you to stop,
To go away,
You never listened,
upstairs you stood stayed
I wanted to tell someone
but I was really scared
I always told you
To go back down stairs
There wasn’t just one
But yet two
I was a little girl
I didn’t know what to do
It was really painful
Having no one there
Someone to turn to
Someone who cared
I finally told some one
And I went away
The place that they put me in
Here I want to stay
I’m a much better person now
I found who I want to be
Now I know there’s more to life
I’m glad I found me
I’m a happy person
Because I don’t go through it anymore
And once more I will
Never enter that door
