Do you know what it's like?
To be broken in two.
To know that half of you is gone?
And it might not come back to you.

Broken in half and left in the rain.
Alone to suffer and wallow in your pain.
You cry as a piece of yourself is ripped apart.
And left to mend your broken heart.

You don't know what it's like.
When half of you is gone.
And to know that everything you worked for is done.
You don't know what it's like.
To lose a love you thought would last forever.
And to find out that's why you ran for cover.

You're broken in half and half of you is broken.
And you try so hard to keep it alive.
Maybe you need time to recover.
A little time to think it over.
You'll see.
You might be meant to be.
Just make sure you're whole again.
Before giving out your heart to him.
