"Half the world is composed of people who have something to say and can't, and the other half who have nothing to say and keep on saying it." Robert Frost

Trapped behind a glass window
As if I am on display
Afraid to make a move or take a risk
I'm so afraid of speaking my mind
Almost afraid to live
I feel like a puppet
Told how to feel and think
Living up to high expectations
Trying not to fall off the pedestal I'm put up on
A smile conceals the tears of a lost soul
I'm like a ghost...
I just go through the motions of like
I don't dare to actually live it
If I make a mistake...the people's view of me tarnishes
One day I'll cut the strings
Oh how I will celebrate that day!
My heart knows that it's done apologizing for being human
Stop the madness
I'm not perfect
I never have been and I don't plan on being perfect
Perfect is boring
Moments that are unforgettable are the ones that were so screwed up
So it's perfection that is in the eye of the beholder
We all have our different versions of perfect
So ask yourself...if everyone has a different version of perfection...does it really exist?
I'll answer for you
No it does not
