Let me be young
Let me be me
Did you put some sort of limit
On individuality?
Who are you
That you think you can be God?
To tell me when to jump
And when to bend?
Though you share my genes
Do you believe that I am yours?
To make me, like a puppet,
Do whatever you please?
I’m done with bending
Done with doing what you say
And if there was anything I could do
I’d make you go away
I am me
I am young
And you can’t make me grow up
