It was a poem 

Most wouldn’t approve of 

It was about the struggle of hardship 

Which is a tough and sensitive topic

Others might not find it valuable 

While some find it useful and informative 

The cause of struggle builds a person 

In such a way 

the meaning of hardship is when one has difficulty 

To endure suffering 

This really forms a person in such a way they 

Would never forget causing empowerment 

The suffrage from your background helps one build character 

darkness blooming into a new light 

It’s when you go to school surrounded with other kids

Having the latest shoes and outfits

Knowing you cannot get any of that 

built from fighting and lessons being taught

Through tough trials and tribulations

Even through struggle the roots still dig deep

The branches may fall but the tree still stands tall.
