Barcarolle
In the moon's soft gleam,
The swaying gondola gliding down the Seine River
With reflection of la lune on the soft waves
Lighting up the quiet city.
The waves caress against the ancient stones
Whispering the tales of romance
With her warm resonant voice
Her voice echoes as she gently dance
Through the dim-lit city
Let us drift away
Away in the barcarolle's soft melody
Surrounded by the mellow night's hue

This poem was inspired by Tchaikovsky June Barcarolle and my memories of strolling along the Seine River when I went to Paris.
