The Unbreakable Bond
With every passing year
Two cousins only see each other in curiosity
Sharing a lifetime of experiences
Creating an endless bond
But it’s unusual
Families not to see each other
With the desperate need of interaction
That never comes by
Like the branches of a tree
They grow in different directions
But their bond is still there
With distance’s voice begging to be heard
It is a bond that time and distance
Cannot break

I wrote this poem in honor of my family. I rarely see my family from growing distant from each other due to issues but I appreciate the short times that I get to celebrate with them during family gatherings.
