Oh Why Oh Why?
Her eyes
Even a million stars could never be as bright
People blinded with her light
But behind the light theres a girl
A girl who pretends to be happy
Oh why oh why could no one see
Behind her mask
Behind who she pretends to be
There's someone
Someone cold, dead, far from reality
Why oh why could no one see
happy is what she's pretending to be
She doesnt know
it's ok
not be ok
Oh why oh why does she
lay in her bed
Thinking about everything she's ever said
Eating away her feelings
Thinking she's fat
So she eats some more
It's a cycle no one can see
Oh why oh why couldn't she notice
She is the one leading the war
The war that is in her mind
She doesn't even try to fight
She's given up
Oh why oh why could no one see
She has things she's hiding
Scary things, unwanted things,
things that are so deep, so dark
She no longer knows how to sleep
She gets up looks at herself in the mirror
she doesn't see what other people see
She sees the ugly monster she believes to be
She wishes this not even upon her greatest enemy
Why oh why did this have to be
Oh why couldn't she see
She's just like everybody
Because everybody is meant to be.
