Down In The Deep

down in the deep
the ocean sits still as I walk towards it
the waves slowly sink my feet into the sand
closer and closer I get deeper in
the water reaches my hips
it thrusts me backwards with ever crash of the waves
finally, I am knocked down
underwater, I try to find my way back to the surface
searching and searching for something to help me,
for someone
i’m alone
alone in this deep dark ocean
i began to panic
nothing comes to mind
i’m alone
