Tis’ the moon brings me dreams of the light,

Where Thee’s love lies within this darkness tonight.

In this opening of the heavens I wonder,

On the winters’ wings caught in this eternal slumber.

On the vicissitudes of the moon’s shining gleam,

And far away for thee shall see the blessed dream.
