Crush
It’s a moment of rational distinction and interruption,
It’s illogical, confusing, and brain stopping.
It’s the answer to the world that will never have an answer,
It's the unpredictable sprouting that has been adding up for a long time in the Spring.
It’s the sound of crushed ice in bubbly sodas in the Summer,
It’s the cascading trees that are all dyed in the Autumn.
It’s the swirling snow grains we see together in the Winter,
It’s when you look at me occasionally, my heart starts pounding and beating.
It’s when the romance of stars and galaxies started shattering in your eyes,
It’s all the texts that you haven’t received.
It’s all the thousands of words you never knew,
It’s the longest stare of youth and the deepest smile of old age.
It’s the heartache of knowing we will no longer meet,
It’s forgiveness and pain.
It’s the jokes being told after teenage,
It’s letting myself go.
It’s our youth,
And my youth is you.
