Marionette
Again tied with a thin line,
On my mangled arms and legs,
Everytime before the light turned on.
Fancy costume,
Vivid Body movement,
Smooth plain face.
A urge to fall off stage,
A stronger control,
A more broken limb.
Applause resounded,
I know that is not for me,
Bur for my foe
I hear a sound—
loose parts are colliding,
A sound of joy.
Clang, Clang,
My new joints,
My foe puts them on.
Same place, same light,
Tighter line,
The sound of joy is gone.
My foe and his audiences,
Notice,
Notice me.
Under the spotlight,
I will cut off my dilapidated wooden limbs,
Struggling to get out of here.

I try to imitate the style of Sylvia Plath, one of my favorite poet.
Meanwhile, I am inspired by the tragedy of common men after reading a play, Death of a Salesman. I use marionette to symbolize the passivity and uncontrollability of ordinary people in today's fast-paced society.
