Blood may be thicker than water, but family isnt always blood.

Paint me like you see me

Like my past

Painting me all the things I've been

Everything you see paint a picture of me

The girl I used to be

Drug addict

Suicidal

Runaway

That's what you see

Not the girl I am now

You see when people don't look

Its when people are at their lowest

Paint me like your life depends on it

Make it know about what I used to be

So people can see my changes

But when your done painting

Paint the new me

The author's comments:

I am used to people judging me about my past. No one sees what I've done to change. That's what this poem is about. New beginnings, and forgiving the past.
