Sweet Bread

A warm buttery crust,
a soft smile hello
These are things I always,
wish to know
How a piece of baked bread,
and a cup of hot cocoa
Can bring people together,
like no one I know
Cheesy, sweet, and lovely, like honey,
choices galore yet we always get lucky
To make the friends we'll always cherish,
In the walls of a coffee shop I finally know
In the people we meet, somehow they turn out sweet
It all comes down to choices of the bread we rejoice in,
Knowing you is all I’m thankful for,
And the sweet bread we eat before the surfing shore
