when I was eight years old and
the world was crashing down around me
for the very first time
I got through by saying to myself
one day you will be eight years older
a year older than benjamin is
right now, and everything will make sense
again.
I will be eight years older in
eight months
eight days
eight hours
and eight minutes
but the sky still hasn't stopped falling
I don't know if I can wait another eight years
