A peculiar thing, really.

How sometimes,

In our minds,

It stops and slows and speeds up.

But it's always the same.

Always going tick and tock,

Always counting up and down.

To the day of your death,

Or the day of your birth,

Or any big moment in your life,

Whether sad or happy.

I wonder what it could be like

If time did not exist.

It is a man-made thing,

Something man uses to help them in life.

Without time there would be no humans,

No other man-made items,

No more homo sapiens.

There will be only males and females:

All animals, all savage.

There will be no more little boys and girls

Elementary.

Only savage animals,

Ready to pounce on anything that moves,

Because who knows

When they will get their next meal?

It's all about time.

Not enough time to get something done.

Too much time to sit around idly.

Not enough hours in the day to get what you want done.

Not enough seconds in the year to make every moment memorable.

Are

We

So

Worried?

When there's millions of questions to be answered,

Why are we so worried about things that don't matter?

When there's nothing more to get in life,

When you have found happiness,

Why is it that

This insatiable greed mankind has

Makes us want more,

And more,

And more.

Greed...

It's a sickening, thing, really.

How sometimes,

In our minds,

We want more than we can chew.

But it's always the same,

Always suffocating those who don't understand.
