Rich or poor
One group is handed opportunities
The other works for them even as
They are told they will never make it
One group has rights
The other has privileges
One group has forever dominated the
Institutions of this country
The other was cast into its shadows
One group will forever lead this country
Further away from the path of equality
At the expense of the other
These groups are the same
Yet different
Only separated by their skin color
And gender
And age
And status
We cannot control these differences
But they control us
