how to start a
poem.
I wish I knew
the right things
to say
and the right time
to say them.
I wish I knew
what went through your
when you did it.
I wish I knew
why the earth allows
us to harm her.
I wish I knew
why I can't
seem to let go of
the pain.
I wish I knew
why we can't save
everyone.
I wish I knew
how to read a
book fully.
I wish I knew,
above all,
how to
understand the
human mind.
