The iridescent glow of a blossom
Draws the attention of viewers
The single flower is nothing
Compared to the vastness of the garden
Floral scents and fresh greens
Flow through the air
The neutral smells fluster your nose
Masking an unknown odor
Sharp thorns lay below
Unnoticed by the onlookers
Ready to strike the next observer
Who oversteps his boundaries
Shedding a drop of blood
Followed by a trail
Deceit streaming down
You pull at the flower
Revealing the web of roots beneath it
Intertwined with every plant
In the garden
