Can You Stand The Rain
Feeling like a disappointment to her parents, she just ready to give up. She was just a girl lost in the world trying to find herself. Thousand of eyes staring deep into her, still it felt like she was in a dark room alone weeping her life away. Others thought of her as outgoing, but she didn’t feel the same. Still trying to find the real meaning of life, Ashley was her name. The girl who faked a smile until she made it. “Fake it until you make it” is what she did. Scared to share her life with others and fear of judgement, keeping what she was feeling and going through to herself felt just right. She had friends, family, and others to talk to, but still it just didn’t feel right to telling them what she was going through. Everyday she would put others before herself because she felt as if other people problems were more important than hers. Not looking at the bigger picture, she didn’t know by her hiding her feelings were causing her to put herself in a dark space. Going through trials and tribulations, she knew she was in a need of a change. Bowing down on her knees with her hands put together, pouring out her emotions to those who care, keeping her head above the water and eyes on her success, she was sure she was back on track. She started to feel better as time went on. Still facing challenges, still there were days that felt like it was a dark cloud hanging over her head that wouldn’t go away. Picturing herself as a cry baby not knowing that it is okay to cry. No one is perfect, but she wanted to be imperfect. Underneath this dark tunnel feeling like there wasn’t no way out, finally it seems as if she began to find her way out. At the end still lost and not knowing the true meaning of life, she knows greater is to come.
