Sixteen birthdays
Without you
My family tree
Split in two
Hundreds of questions
Taking over my thoughts
Countless letters
With no reply
I would’ve been apart of a whole
But
I exist
So you packed your bags
Without hesitation
On the second day
The eleventh month
Of my first year
A body
Lies in a ditch
Once covered in wreckage
Now saved by the stars
Without even saying
goodbye
Or hello
To his own daughter
You were nothing to me
I am nothing to what remains of you
