grey skies
i walked back home and when i arrived i saw you with a gun
i watched as you held the gun up to your head
now here’s the part I deeply dread
i watched as the bullet went right through your head.
i cried and cried then came to a sudden stop
and i started thinking about all the times i screamed stop
you beat me till the break of dawn so guess what
im glad that you’re
gone.

In this piece she comes home after a long day at school to find her “father” with a gun to his head. Not sure what to, she watches as he kills himself. She begins so sob and then she remembers how much he abuses her both physically and sexually so she is glad that he is gone because she is now free from the life she once had.
