Green is the color of life.

Green is the color of my shoes

As I smell the fresh cut grass.

Green is the color of the trees that

Sit in our backyards and watch us grow old,

While they still remain strong.

Green is the color of the lily pad that

Is so delicate that it will wither at

The hands of a human and yet

Is strong enough to hold the little frog

That is getting ready to jump.

Green is the color that lives

And breaths through nature.

Green is the color that brings

The beautiful blue sky and the bright yellow sun

Together to form the peaceful grass fields

That we could lay in all day.

As the wind kisses our face,

We drift to sleep and the last thing we see

Is the color Green.
