"They laugh at me because I'm different. I laugh at them because they're all the same"(Kurt Cobain).

With a voice like honey

And an embrace like silk

You are about as comforting as warm milk.

I know you will bring

Something awful

That will wash away the taste

And leave me alone with a sort of bitterness that spreads throughout my body.

It’s like I’m lactose intolerant

But I can not resist your sweet kiss.

What am I doing,

I always say

When I see you are gone

The next day.

I always give

And you pretend to care

But then I look around only to find you are never there.

In a mocking voice and with a tight loped smile,

You tell me,

“I love you.”

But all I see is that beautiful smile.

But then I come tumbling down after you brought me up so high,

Like a breaking tide

It was bound to happen,

We all knew it was going to,

But still, somehow we ignored it

Til’ we were buried deep within the roaring waves.

But waves aren’t alive,

They can’t see, nor hear,

Though they always grab ahold of things that are alive,

A sort of host.

No  one can hear me over the wind,

I am buried deep within

As water comes into my lungs

I know I am undone

Oh, what have you done?

I thought you were the gentle one.

I thought you were my sun,

But all along you hid your merciless hold.

Filling me with good things

And then with bad

I am stuck in between a rock and a hard place,

Every time I’m with you it ends so bad.

You make me feel peace

I never see the tide coming

But then I am buried, choking for air,

Oh, it just isn’t fair.
