I love your voice,
your soft brown hair.
I love your eyes
and love your stare.

I love your laugh,
your cocky smirk,
your stupid jokes.
You precious jerk,

you know I do.
I want my hands
all through your hair
each treasured strand.

I’m wrapped around
your finger still.
Am I yet yours?
Your love does kill

the things I hold
so close to me
and yet you’re the
best jerk I see.

Jerk's response:
You are annoying,
I hate your face,
You come over,
you are always in my place.
You are like a pest,
always bugging on.
But your cute as well,
You love me I can tell.
I see it in your eyes,
but I can't bring myself,
to say goodbye.
You are a bug in my hair,
but I guess you can stay.
I like you by my side, anyways.

I like how the poem transitions from a loving tone to calling the guy a jerk and still describes how she loves him.

I like the love-hate relationship theme, I believe it is very powerful.

I like the way that the poet gives a clear description of how the guy looks. It makes you get a vision of what the boy looks like and acts like.

I like how you used bold and sophisticated words followed by the word jerk. It added to the love-hate relationship you feel. Very well done.

I love how your title is straight and to the point. Keep coping and processing through poetry. You're really good at it!

Let the laughter fill your glass
Let your illusions last until they shatter.
Whatever you might hope to find
Among the thoughts that crowd your mind
There won't be many that ever really matter.
But take good care of your mother
And remember to be kind
When the pain of another will serve you to remind."

If life were predictable it would cease to be life, and be without flavor.

I could actually paint his image in my mind. Kudos you did a great job!

the compliments followed by the "insults" does a really good job of showing what love is really about

This is so true! I love the honest voice and if I was honest I have a such a relatable situation. That is what I love about poetry. Also, I was wondering if you could look at my work and possibly share them. Great Job!
