alcohol
Come here fellow soul
Why not sip,
Life’s liquid desire
A cowardice substance
A matter fit for the tong
Yet meant for the mind
Transparent,
To hide its damages in your mind
To Barry its greed in your eyes
To teach its filth to your tong
To mix its dread with your blood
Liquid,
Like the way it flows with no meaning
Like the way it showers out awareness
Like the way it drips sins to your hands
Don’t be the fool
The roles have been switched
It is the consumer
You are what it consumes
Yet when it comes to feed
It seeks for the weak
And when it’s done
It leaves you,
It leaves you to sicken
It leaves you to rot
It leaves you to be with no color
Till you become the alcohol.
